When Victory Bible Institute began in the fall of 2006, I got excited about it and the Holy Spirit led me to attend, but I missed it. I have focused on building a professional career in higher education over the last 30 years and at this point, I am fairly certain that God's call for my life is not for full-time ministry.  As a result, I was under the impression that Victory Bible Institute would not be for someone like me.  I knew a Victory Bible Institute first-year student however, and I could see his enthusiasm for how important the classes were becoming to his own spiritual growth and development.  I became interested in what he was learning with each new class he took.  He challenged me to read one of the books for a class he was taking, which eventually led me to think seriously about taking a class or two myself.  Read more...
