People often assume that Bible school is for ministers-in-training, and that attending somehow means you're preparing for the pulpit. The Bible, however, gives example after example of people who served the Lord through the marketplace. Their roles as kings and leaders facilitated the ministry of the Word in ways that cannot be understated.
Being equipped to serve the Lord and to minister His Word to people in need is not just for pastors, ministers, or missionaries. In fact, it is vital to those who work and serve God in the marketplace. I was inspired to attend Victory Bible Institute as I thought about the ways that my life intersects the lives of others, many of whom are searching for “something more.” In many cases, these people are not interested in an invitation to church; often skeptical of organized religion, they observe, listen, and challenge people who profess to be a Christian. I also realized that even though I attend church regularly, I too want more from life, especially in terms of cultivating a deeper understanding of God's Word and a more intimate fellowship with Him.
Victory Bible Institute equips students for personal and professional development through Spirit-inspired education, focused course content, and direction regarding the application of courses to everyday life. In my time as a student, I have grown more confident of who I am in Christ and of my purpose within the body of Christ—a purpose that is intended for service in the marketplace. Experiencing God's Word in action through the teaching at Victory Bible Institute has brought encouragement, understanding, and a “sharpening” to my life. The disciplined educational experience has and continues to enhance my ability to “rightly divide the Word” and to mature in the faith.
Victory Bible Institute has brought the Word of God to life, positively impacting how I view my life in Christ as well as my role in the marketplace. What I've experienced is truly the heart of Victory Bible Institute: to equip people—no matter what their profession—in their personal life in order that they might fulfill their part in the Body of Christ. To this end, Victory Bible Institute recognizes that there is no disconnect between God and the marketplace. For those marketplace professionals like myself who desire a firmer foundation in the Word that is personally as well as professionally relevant, Victory Bible Institute provides a comprehensive and dynamic educational experience that is certain to exceed expectations!
